LuckyCal Inc. ("us," "we" or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of users ("user", "you" or "your") of our web site (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy applies to this Site and governs data collection and usage at this Site. Please send it in its entirety.

Before we dive into the details, let's make one aspect of this Privacy Policy clear. We recognize that sharing friends, calendars, events and locations information from your calendar is an act of trust. It is LuckyCal's goal to live up to that trust. The most important element is that your calendars, events and locations (whether explicitly entered into a calendar, or derived via LuckyCal's heuristics) are never shared with other users or organizations.

The only exception is when you specifically choose to send a map to a friend to help meet up; that requires an explicit action on your part to initiate.

Types of Information Collected

We automatically track and collect information about your computer and software when you visit our Site. This information can include: (i) Your IP address; (ii) domain server; (iii) type of computer; and (iv) type of web browser ; (v) access times; and (vi) referring web sites addresses (collectively "Traffic Data"). Traffic Data is anonymous information that does not personally identify you.

In order for you to access certain services that we offer via the Site or otherwise, we may optionally request you to provide us with information that personally identifies you (such as name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, friends, calendars, events and interests) ("Personal Information"). If you communicate with us by e-mail, or otherwise complete online forms, surveys, any information provided in such communication may be collected as Personal Information.

Use of Cookies

As part of offering and providing customizable and personalized services, we employ cookie technology to store and sometimes track information about the user of the Site. Except as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy, we will keep your Personal Information private and will not share it with third parties, or other LuckyCal customers unless such disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with legal process (such as a court order) or other legal requirements of any governmental authority; (b) protect our rights or property; (c) enforce our Site's Terms of Use located at http://www.luckycal.com; (d) protect the interest of users of the Site, other than you, or any other person; or (e) operate or conduct maintenance and repair of our services or equipment, as authorized by law; or (f) have an explicit directive from you to share a portion of your Personal Information. The last case occurs when ask LuckyCal to send a map to a friend to help facilitate a meeting. In that case, a one-time message is sent with your location.

Your Personal Information is stored on secure servers that are not accessible by third parties.

We use Personal Information (in particular, your friends, calendars, events, interests and address) to generate LuckyCal Events. You have control over how you are notified about these events, possible notifications include, but are not limited to: events in your LuckyCalendar, a calendar feed, email, notifications on various social networks (eg, Facebook News Feed).

We use Traffic Data to analyze trends, administer the Site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.

Retaining of Information Collected

LuckyCal retains Personal Information, including friends, calendars, events and locations information indefinitely. At any time you have the ability to remove any of your Personal Information by deleting friends and interests, calendars and events or clearing out your locations.

Opt-Out/Discontinue

If you do not wish to continue using LuckyCal Inc.'s services, you may "opt-out" of by sending us an e-mail at out@luckycal.com.

The Site may contain links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our Site and to read the privacy policies or statements of third-party sites. These other sites may send their own cookies to users, collect data, or solicit personal information. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected at our Site.

Security

The Site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your Personal Information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our online services, and you do so at your own risk. User Ability to Access, Update, Remove and Correct Information

If you are a user to whom a password and user name have been provided by us to access the secure-site section of the Site, you must promptly notify us if the user name or password provided to you is lost, stolen or used without permission. In such an event, we will cancel that user name or password and update our records accordingly.

If at any point we decide to use Personal Information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by email, or an alternate means if email is not available . Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their Personal Information in this different manner.
